It's true that every marriage is unique and deals with unique expressions of problems, but marriages are made up of humans who tend to make the same type of mistakes. Humans are only a few thousand years removed from nonverbal communication. Therefore, facial expressions, body language and tone are still very important parts of the communication toolbox. These experts go over how you can pay attention to these nonverbal cues.

Marriage is an agreement between two people. Hopefully, you entered into that marriage because you loved them. It is important to remember that, no matter how big the fight may get, it started out because your partner or you were hurt. Remember that your partner also has feelings and that they are vulnerable to your actions.

Also, consider your actions carefully. Nonverbal cues like the way you stand or your facial expression go a long way toward expressing yourself. Many people do not realize that a great deal of their communication occurs nonverbally, from nudging closer to someone to smiling. So it is important to keep your body language soft and inviting when you are in a fight.

Not all marriages can be saved with communication tips from an expert. If you believe that divorce is the best option left, then you may want to speak to an attorney. Divorce entails a multitude of issues that many people may not consider such as dividing retirement, caring for children, allocating support and even dividing business assets. The more "stuff" you have, the more complicated it gets. An attorney can help you go over your situation and come up with a legal strategy.
